While the start of a new school year is just days away, we’re still smiling about everything our students accomplished this summer. From pool days, West End Walks, Badge Buddies, and a multitude of other activities, our kids had a full season of exploration, learning, and fun.

We watched shy students find their voices, hesitant readers grow in confidence, and groups of friends build each other up in small but powerful ways. The best part? Every moment was made possible by the generosity of our community!

To all of the summer volunteers, donors, and partners who poured into our kids, thank you. Their joy is your legacy.

We’re feeling the back-to-school love in a big way! 💛 Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community partners, our students are heading into the school year with the supplies, support, and confidence they need to shine.

Raleigh Court Presbyterian, West End Presbyterian, Our Lady of Nazareth, TEMIC, and Lifewise Gym all donated much-needed school supplies, helping fill backpacks and hearts alike. Kroger pitched in with paper bags, while Feeding Southwest Virginia provided essential food boxes. The Roanoke LDS Stake went above and beyond with 88 cases of shelf-stable food, ensuring families have what they need at home too.

We’re also grateful to the Roanoke Prevention Alliance, Roanoke Area Youth Substance Abuse Coalition, Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare and Clean Valley Council for donating reusable bags, and to our amazing youth and staff volunteers who handled pickups, packed bags, and helped with delivery.

Because of you, our students are starting the year strong and we’re reminded once again of the power of a connected, caring community. Thank you for showing up and shining with us.
