THANK YOU FOR KEEPING PETS AND THEIR PEOPLE SAFE AND TOGETHER!
More than 350 human walkers plus their furry companions recently showed their support at the 11th Annual Paws for Peace Walk. Many showed their artistic side by dressing for this year's theme: The Art of Barking and Meowing.
With your help, Harbor House brought in more than $80,000 to keep pets and their people safe from abuse!
WKMG News 6's Julie Broughton emceed the event, assisted by her daughter, Isla, and dog, Jake. Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and his dog Sammie were also on hand to welcome everyone.
We also want to thank all the community leaders and elected officials in attendance, including Orange County Sheriff John Mina and City of Orlando Commissioner Robert Stuart.
Everyone in attendance enjoyed the walk and visiting our vendors, but the dogs had even more fun! They got to bob for tennis balls, go on a scavenger hunt, and chase a dog lure then cool off with homemade Chilly Paws Frozen Treats and custom doggie cocktails at the Bow Wow Bar.
Thank you to all of our volunteers who made this event possible! We especially want to thank event co-chairs Donatella and Ted Maines of Ted Maines Interiors, as well as the planning committee for their hard work. We appreciate all of our spokespets and their people who lent their voices (and faces) to raising awareness.
