YouthTruth Survey Ends Tonight - March 24th
Princeton Families:

The Family Survey for YouthTruth Feedback ends tonight, 3/24/23, at midnight.

Send a screenshot of your completed survey to [email protected] or via @pcsdvikings Facebook Messenger to be entered into a drawing to win an Apple iPad.

If your family has already completed the survey, when you try a second time, you will get a notice that you have already completed it. Take a screenshot of that page and send it with your name to [email protected]. The survey results are anonymous, so Princeton can not tell who has completed otherwise.

Thank you for giving meaningful feedback about your schools.

Dear Princeton Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to announce an opportunity for parents and guardians to have their voices heard to help Princeton City School District be the best that we can be for our students, by using the YouthTruth survey.

We ask that one parent or guardian from each family visit ytsurvey.org/princetonfamily23 from any internet-enabled device, including a smartphone, to provide your feedback by midnight on March 24, 2023.

The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete and will ask for your feedback on school culture, engagement, relationships, communication & feedback, school safety, and resources.

Information with key findings from the survey and administration plans for responding to the data will be shared at a Board of Education meeting and on our district website, www.princetonschools.net/YouthTruth.

Sincere thanks for taking the time to help our school improve.

Youth Art Month, Awards, & Festival of the Arts
March is Youth Art Month and National Music in Our Schools Month, and it has been a great time to shine a light on the amazing art and music programs at Princeton. The Festival of the Arts last weekend showcased the results of teaching and learning across our district.

The annual Festival of the Arts is a wonderful chance to present the artwork of students as well as an opportunity to highlight the art, music, English, STEAM, and tech educators in our schools. The event illustrates the importance of access to quality art and music programs. Princeton educators help to inspire and empower each student, creating avenues to express creativity, find their voice, and cultivate communication skills.

Recent art highlights and awards:

  • Congratulations to Ashley Connor and Sophi Roberts on their National Medals awards from Scholastic Awards! More than 100,000 students submitted more than 260,000 works of art and writing to the 2023 Scholastic Awards. Less than 2,000 works received a National Medal, which places these #differencemakers within the top 1% of all submissions! Ashley won a National Silver Medal for her photo Campground Sunset, and Sophi won an AMERICAN VISIONS NATIONAL MEDAL in the Scholastics Art Competition!
  • Sophi Roberts’ photo, Blue Water, will also be exhibited in Columbus in the Ohio Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition!
  • This month, the Reaching Classrooms Exhibition at the Taft Museum of Art features the artworks of Jacqueline Alonso, Ve’Era Carr, Gloria Dunlap, Devin Long, Shirley Roblero Lopez, Charlotte Martin, and Gabriela Rosen.
  • Gaby Rosen’s works were recognized as Notable Expression by the Taft Museum of Art’s program.

It takes a village to put on an event like the Festival of Arts and the Early Literacy Fair, so a HUGE thank you to everyone who worked behind the scenes to make them successful. And for all that came out on a Sunday or after work to support our students and families, you are #differencemakers.
