β€œMany of our junior high students have β€˜come to life’ through MASA Afterschool activities that set the context for purpose-driven peer relationships.” -Nikolai Jensen, TMJH Counselor

Engaging in the MASA Afterschool program not only enhances academic success, but also fosters crucial social and emotional development, nurturing a well-rounded educational experience for 8th and 9th graders at TMJH. MASA provides options for kids to find robust academic support as well as access to numerous extracurricular clubs.

πŸ₯° Camp Hawk's Heartfelt Afterschool Service Project at JRES πŸ’•

β€Š

"Modeling compassion to our youngest learners helps create a better community, and this project allows each Camp Hawk Afterschool student to contribute.” - Helen Hanahan, Camp Hawk’s Coordinator

Each PCSD Elementary Afterschool program chooses a service project to participate in during the school year. This month, Camp Hawk’s K-5 students will work through Volunteers of America Utah to Fill the Pack by filling backpacks with winter necessities, hygiene products, and essential food items, like ProBars. Camp Hawk's program coordinators plan to deliver the backpacks to Volunteers of America Utah who will then distribute them to adolescents, ages 12-18, who live on the streets in Utah.

✏️ PCSD’s High-Quality, Affordable, and Safe Afterschool Programming ✏️

Afterschool Programing that Works for Working Parents

β€Š
β€Š

For every child enrolled in an afterschool program in Utah, 8 more are on the waitlist for a spot, reinforcing the reality of unmet demand throughout the state. Fortunately, within the Park City School District, it’s a different story. β€œWe’re happy to report we currently have zero students on the waitlist,” -Todd Klarich, PCSD’s Community Education Director

The district’s goal is to be able to provide a space in Afterschool for any K-9 student/family within the community who wants to participate. High-quality, safe, and affordable Afterschool is a top priority, and one of 8 Signature Initiatives supported and funded by PCEF donors.
