I love being part of a church that regards missions as a priority. However, as a part of JW Church, I must ask myself, “is God’s commandment to love my neighbor as myself," evident in how I live my life and share my resources?" As we look forward to our 2023 Missions Fundraiser: Love in Action, each one of us can contribute in some way. When you practice 2nd mile giving by donating an item for the Live or Silent Auction or maybe making a big purchase, you are possibly providing education for an orphan in Costa Rica; school supplies for a local child who would otherwise be without; a hot meal and socks to a homeless person; electricity and water for a single mom with small children; clean drinking water or deworming medicine for a child in Gilgil, Kenya. Things that you and I consider necessities, others often live without. I don't make many promises but I have no reservations about promising this: your generosity will multiply the ways of expressing the true love of God in action.
