In these times, it can feel like the idea of “common ground” is a faint notion from a bygone era. Yet from our vantage point, we can see common ground among just about all of you, our grantee partners, as you face a dynamic fundraising environment with some degree of nervousness and confusion.
We’re hearing that you plan to diversify your revenues in order to minimize reliance on any one source. We also hear that many of you are struggling to make plans, navigate the information environment, and ensure your sustainability amid so much change.
Know that we hear you! At GAR, we understand that changing times require organizations to embrace change. We are not scared off by the prospect of you, our grantee partners, examining your work, putting every option on the table, making change, innovating, exploring bold partnerships, and even strategically reducing programming. While every situation is different and there is no one “right answer,” we are open to this time of inquiry and to the hard conversations you are having with your boards. We want to support you as you navigate a changed landscape.
Through our resource newsletter, we share some of the tools, people, and businesses that can help your organization find its way. With today’s message, we are also kicking off a series we are calling “In These Times,” through which our staff and guest writers will share topics and meaningful information to assist you in navigating the current climate.
At the end of the day, we want you to know that GAR Foundation understands the challenges you are facing, and we are committed to being the best partner we can be.
