Dear Fellow Saints in the Lord,

It is with a heavy heart that I share with you this morning that yesterday afternoon Rev. Ken Babin entered his eternal reward with Jesus. Our prayers are with Priscilla and the children and I know this news may come as a shock to many of you as he was worshiping with us just a few weeks ago this past July. I encourage you to share your fond memories with the family in the coming days and remember them in your prayers and with other expressions of kindness.

A memorial service is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, September 17th, with details to be shared after the family meets with the funeral home on Tuesday.

Shoen and Son is in charge of arrangements [and is the location of the funeral].

Let us pray together as the people of God,

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gifts and the ministry of your servant, Kenneth, whom you have taken into your loving arms of grace where he now rests for eternity. We praise you for all those who entered into righteousness through the baptisms he performed and for the people whom he led to faith by instruction in the word. As we mourn his passing from this life, we ask that you come quickly to unite us with Ken and all the saints as you usher forth a new heaven and a new earth. But, until that day comes, keep us steadfast in faith, as you did with Ken, that we too might live in the promise of eternal life that you continually offer through the love and forgiveness of your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, in whose name we pray. Amen.
