Calls & Texts Claiming to Be from Capitol View CU
 

We’ve received reports that scammers are spoofing Capitol View Credit Union’s phone number - calling and sending texts regarding attempted purchases and identity verification. If you are asked for your online banking information, including your username or password, DO NOT RESPOND.


These inquiries are NOT coming from us!



“Spoofing” is when a scammer disguises their phone number to make it look like the call is coming from someone you trust — such as Capitol View Credit Union.

👉 Please remember:

  • Capitol View CU will never ask for your online banking password, verification code, or full account number over the phone.
  • If you receive a suspicious call, hang up immediately and call us directly at (515) 348-8350.
  • Do not share personal or account information with anyone who contacts you unexpectedly, even if it appears to be from a Capitol View phone number.


Your security is our top priority. Stay alert, and contact us right away if you think you may have shared information with a scammer.
