There are still plenty of seasonal activities and events to keep you busy along the Hunterdon 579 Trail. The vineyards, farms and specialty markets are dressed up with fresh evergreens, twinkling lights, and warm hospitality.

Seasonal Events

“Open Farm Day" 

On November 25, Gorgeous Goat Creamery, home to goats, a creamery and a pottery studio, will host "Open Farm Day.” The event will allow all visitors to shop local products and visit the goats.  No registration fee and no admission fee!

“Christmas with the Cows”

On December 3, Spring Run Dairy Farm, will set up an area to take a fun holiday photo with the cows!  "Christmas with the Cows" will be free and all are welcome from 10-4 at the farm: Spring Run Dairy

A Warm Welcome at Hunterdon’s Vineyards

Hunterdon’s vineyards ring in the season with beautifully decorated tasting rooms, and cozy heated outdoor seating. Seasonal wines, live music, artisan vendors, and specialty foods make the vineyards ideal for celebrating, relaxing, and shopping. Cut your own Tree at Peterson Family Farm!


 At Peterson Family Farm in Flemington, you can select and tag your tree as early as Thanksgiving weekend, and return when you are ready to cut it down. Inside the corn crib and the big red barn with the white cupola, visitors will find handmade pine roping, table centerpieces, wreaths and ornaments, along with pre-cut trees. Info:

“Christmas on the Farm”

The Bubbly Goat Farm in Stockton invites guests for a “goat-getaway” on the seasonally decorated farm including the opportunity to “cuddle and play with the goats.” In the gift shop, you’ll find soaps and lotions in holiday scents, made on the farm and sustainably produced in small batches.

A Collaboration 

Gorgeous Goat Creamery announces a special collaboration with Sourland Conservancy

Throughout the months of November and December, a limited-edition ceramic tile will be offered for sale by Gorgeous Goat Creamery. Handmade by artist, Matt Kriegler, this tile commemorates the many ash trees that have succumbed to the invasive pest, the emerald ash borer.  

For every tile sold in 2022, Gorgeous Goat Creamery will donate $5 to the Sourland Conservancy to support tree planting efforts in the area. Find out more information here!
