New Program! Monthly Spice Club
February: Paprika
PAPRIKA is February's Spice of the Month! 

Try a recipe from the brochure, all taken from our brand new databases: AtoZ Food America and AtoZ World Culture! Click here to access our databases (scroll down to see the "AtoZ" databases). Or try your own paprika recipe!

Spice kits are available to hold by clicking here (library card required), or pick up a kit when you visit the library during working hours (see working hours above).
About Spice Club Each month we'll feature a new spice and make it available in a small FREE take-home kit, which will include:

  • a small sample of the spice,
  • a brief history of the spice,
  • recipes, and
  • links to our library databases featuring recipes that use the spice.
We are also launching an online Spice Chat Group to discuss that month's spice. Join us by registering below!

Tax Services are BACK!
The Rodgers Library, in cooperation with the IRS, is sponsoring a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

In order to utilize this service, taxpayers need to:
  • Have an email address, phone number OR computer camera,
  • Have an income of $57,000 or less to qualify, and
  • Obtain and complete a tax preparation package.

To obtain your packet, visit the library during its regular operating hours, OR email the following addresses to have the forms electronically sent to you:

Emergency Preparedness Training

Learn how to prepare for an emergency, from disasters like fires and tornadoes to steps you can take in a medical emergency until help arrives, as well as help in coping with the emotional after effects of dealing with emergency situations.
Presenter John Watkins is the education/training officer for the Nashua Community Emergency Response Team.

To play, players get a list of categories and a random letter, and have to fill in the categories with a word beginning with that letter. After all players have completed their categories, they then read their list of answers and get points for every answer no one else chose.
