Kasia Shaw Honored for Transformative Leadership in Healthcare

Join us in celebrating Kasia Shaw, VP of Medical Services, on receiving the 2024 Ethel Rae Mozo-Steward Service Award from Georgia College! This well-deserved honor recognizes her extraordinary impact on healthcare for underserved populations—both at PathForward and beyond.

Kasia has been instrumental in developing PathForward’s Mobile Medical Program, bringing lifesaving care to individuals experiencing homelessness. She also mentors nursing and medical students, shaping them into more compassionate and skilled healthcare providers. Her commitment extends globally—each year, she travels to Honduras with Georgia College NP and BSN students to provide critical medical care.

Congratulations, Kasia, on this incredible achievement! Your dedication inspires us all.

After living independently for 17 years, James’ world fell apart. In 2022, he lost his son. A year later, his mother passed away. Grief consumed him, making it impossible to keep up with daily life. Even with therapy, the weight of his loss was overwhelming. Eventually, he was evicted—with nowhere to turn.

That’s when he found PathForward.

Despite working for over 20 years, financial barriers stood between James and stability. With the guidance of his Shelter Case Manager, he built a personalized housing plan. When an old eviction record threatened to derail everything, PathForward stepped in, securing the resources he needed.

After 135 days in shelter, James finally moved into his own apartment—a fresh start made possible by resilience, compassion, and community support.

Your generosity makes stories like this possible. Give today and help more neighbors rebuild their lives.
