Catholic Schools Week(s)!
#catholicschoolsweek was an absolute hit! From scholar bowls to spelling bees to dance offs, students and faculty beamed with pride about St. Augustine and our community.

And the fun did not end after the official Catholic Schools Week. The following week (this past week) Sr. Lisa held a Science Fair and eighth grade strutted their way through this year's fashion show.

Dance Team wins two awards at Fairfield Warde's 2019 Dance Jam
For the fifteen members of St. Augustine's Dance Team, ordinary was not in their vocabulary at Saturday's dance competition.

Dressed in space suits and pants painted in star dust, St. Augustine Dance left not only with a first place trophy in the Middle School Hip Hop Division but also with Best Costume, an award from the judges that had them not only best their peers but every other team in the competition.

A week to honor our community
Where do we even begin? The 2019 Catholic Schools Week was action-packed (and the week after did not let down either!) with an event each day of the week.

Monday welcomed the week with the NED Mindset show.
Tuesday brought us service.
Wednesday showcased all our knowledge in the Scholar Bowl as well as our prospective fourth graders.
Thursday dressed us in sports gear for our spelling bee.
And Friday we had a dance off!

And in the following week, our gym hosted a science fair and fashion show.

There are a billion photos and stories and videos from these great days.
To check out all these wonderful moments, follow along this week on Facebook and Instagram
to see all and every photo + special highlights.
Heart-a-thon is back!
What could be more a match-made-in-heaven? This Thursday on Valentine's Day we are hosting another Heart-a-Thon to promote health and heart and heart health and to raise money for the American Heart Association.

As we settle into the second half of this school year, this time also marks eighth grade's final second half
of their St. Andrew Academy career. This section will honor their legacy and their future!
"This place has given me friends. When I was at my old school, I was bullied a lot so when I came to this school I felt more welcomed. I felt like I had people who actually cared about me."
"A choreographer. Whenever I see someone dance, it just lights a fire in me. It gets me inspired and motivated to get things done . "
"I have seen the progress at this school, like in technology. I started here in fourth grade and St. Augustine has helped me progress, too. They have made me better in solving my problems - I can problem solve, now. "
"You see, I want to go into the military and be a mechanic .
I want to serve the country. You live here. And this country - and the vets - have done stuff for you and now I want to give back by serving."
