Staff Happenings at Ginghamsburg Church

by Dennis Miller, Senior Pastor

Introducing the next Ginghamsburg Preschool and Childcare Center Director!

God is so good!

We are excited to introduce the new Director of Ginghamsburg’s Preschool & Childcare Center! Jenny Fox comes to us with previous center director experience and has most recently worked with Child Care Choices, a nonprofit childcare resource and referral agency that serves Miami County and surrounding communities. Jenny has already acted as an invaluable resource for Ginghamsburg whenever there were preschool or childcare questions, and now we get to have her on the team!

Here is a little bit about Jenny:

Hi everyone, my name is Jenny Fox and I am married to Jason and we have 4 kids. Bella who is almost 19, Sophie who is 17, Wesley who is almost 9 and Wyatt who is 6. We live in West Milton on what I call a mini farm (others call a mini zoo...haha). You never know what kind of animal we will add to our family next. I love being outside, sports, having fun and most of all my family. During sports seasons you will find me at some kind of ball field and I love it. I am excited to join the Ginghamsburg team and meet everyone! I can't wait to make the Ginghamsburg Preschool and Childcare Center the best best place for kids and the best place to work. I know that if we work as a team it will be the best.

She also loves to make killer hot chocolate bombs in the winter and yummy stuffed chocolate eggs in the Spring.

Jenny started on Monday, May 1! Stop in to the Preschool and Childcare Center offices on the first floor of the Tipp City Campus Kids Wing to say hello and make her feel welcome!

Celebrating one of our own

Sarah Hardin, Ginghamsburg’s Care and Recovery Pastor, graduated April 29 with a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies from Indiana Wesleyan University. It’s been a 10-year journey – one that’s inspired us all! Sarah has been on the Ginghamsburg staff team for over 20 years. She was a beloved teacher in our Preschool Center after beginning her career with us on the Ginghamsburg housekeeping staff. For the last several years, Sarah has leaned into her gifts of pastoral care and has been a valuable strategic planner for Adult Discipleship.

In her own words, here are a few of Sarah’s lessons learned:

  • Go for it – do that big hard thing God is nudging you to do. The hard things are usually the best. Then celebrate the God who gave you the strength to do it.
  • When God tells you to do something, God will make a way.
  • Let go of perfection for obedience. To make it all work I sometimes had to be okay with getting B’s or C’s.

We know that Sarah has been a blessing to many of you. Send her a note of congrats and appreciation: [email protected].

For Sarah, for Jenny and for all of us – the best is yet to come!
