Club Championships
It's time for the annual MIT Club Championships! This is a "members only" tournament where our current members compete for the honor of having their names engraved on the MIT Cup as Mixed Doubles, Men's Singles, or Women's Singles champions. The tournament gets under way January 27th so register now!

In addition to the championship tournament, the club will host social round robin play on Saturday, January 28th from 12-1:30 pm. The round robin is free to members, and we ask that you register in advance so that we can provide you with the best experience. Please contact Franz Collas to register.
Men's and Women's Singles competition will run January 27-29, 2023.

Court Times are Changing
Due to increased demand for court times, we've made some changes to better accommodate our growing membership. Effective the week of January 15th, here is what you can expect:

  • Mondays and Fridays: Courts available for reservation from 8-9:30 am.
  • Tuesday and Wednesday late afternoons/early evenings will have additional availability.
  • Tuesday Ladies' Night will run from 6-7:30 pm.
  • Wednesday Mixed Doubles Night will run 6:30-8 pm.
  • Men's, Ladies', and Mixed Doubles Nights on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will continue to require advanced registration.

Tennis Pro's Corner
What's the story with the quirky tennis scoring? It sure isn't intuitive when we start to play! If you've ever wondered where the scoring system for tennis came from, here's your chance to learn!
