Hello! We hope this message finds you and your family safe and well. Our newsletter is here to help us connect with you, this week we want to share some helpful and uplifting ideas!

CREATIVITY - can help make the most out of these crazy times! Your ABE/ESL instructors are using their creativity skills to keep classes going—they are text messaging, on WhatsApp, and using Facebook!  Your Instructor and classmates would love to see you in class!  Contact your instructor for details.  If you have any ideas you would like to share or have questions about our program, please contact: ABE learners please contact Danielle Thomas, at 410-829-6043 and our ESL learners please contact Karen Luceti, at 410-443-1163.

A great way to be creative and stay safe is making a “No Sew Face Mask”! Here is a YouTube link to an easy to follow video.

The Maryland Food Bank has several free food distribution centers around the five counties Chesapeake College serves. These food pantries are open to the public throughout the month and weeks at specific times. Contact them directly for more information.

  • Do you need Health Insurance? Maryland Health Connection has opened an emergency special enrollment period for the uninsured. If you have no insurance, lost your job, or a change in income, call Seedco: 866-492-605

  • Complete the 2020 Census: Everyone is counted! Census numbers help provide funding for much needed programs. You can be counted online, by phone, or by mail. There are translators for 59 Languages! Visit my2020census.gov or call: 844-330-2020

¡Hola a todos! Esperamos que tú y tu familia se encuentren bien y seguros. Este boletín informativo nos ayuda a estar más conectados, y esta semana compartiremos ideas útiles e inspiradoras.

La Creatividad - puede ayudarnos a aprovechar estos momentos particulares de la mejor manera posible. Tu maestro de ABE o ESL recurre a esa creatividad para seguir adelante con las clases, a través de mensajes de texto, WhatsApp o Facebook.  ¡A tu maestro y a tus compañeros les encantaría verte en clase!  Ponte en contacto con tu maestro para mayor información.
