As we catch our breath after another busy events season, we've got to know — Did you enjoy yourself at our events?

Were you excited to shake things up with us at Location Takeovers? Or are you missing Luncheons?

IF YOU DIDN'T ATTEND ANY EVENTS, HOW CAN WE SUPPORT YOU BETTER?

Over the last year, the Chamber has been adjusting and evolving events to meet the needs and availability of our members. In 2022 we were seeing a decrease in attendance at recurring, full-day or mid-day events due to staffing shortages, inflation, and more. A lot of these factors are carrying forward and we want your feedback on Chamber events. Past, present, and future.

With these current barriers, the Chamber will not be hosting a Golf tournament this year. We are looking forward to your feedback on this decision. With your support, and membership interest, we may see this event return in 2024.

BUSINESS & NON-PROFIT SMART GRANTS

The Trust's Business SMART grants (Sustainable, Mitigation, Adaptation, and Resilience Transition) support Basin businesses, non-profits, and Indigenous communities, to adapt to the impacts of climate change and/or reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Eligible projects must result in enhancements or transformations to your organization’s operations that lead to greenhouse gas reduction, climate adaptation, or increased energy efficiency.

Check out Discovery Foundation's Strategic Mindset Program, a mentorship program presented by WeBC and the Discovery Foundation. This program is designed to support women entrepreneurs in the first five years of business with Peer Group Mentoring and Leadership Webinars. In this 3-month program, you'll gain a sounding board of women you can reach out to, invaluable insights from an experienced woman in tech and leadership skills that give you the tools and confidence to grow your business.

2023 Marks the eighth annual Kootenay Rockies Gran Fondo! Organized by the Cranbrook Sunrise Rotary Club – Their purpose is to serve as an opportunity for cyclists to participate in a world class Fondo, bring tourists to our region, and raise funds for local charitable endeavors. The North Star Cranbrook - Kimberley Rails to Trails Society is a recipient of a portion of the event proceeds. Other funds raised through the event will be used to support community projects in our area. We are committed to using local suppliers and businesses to benefit our community.
