Bottom Line Up Front: TRAC Analysts Bethany Rudibaugh and Cat Cooper are following the case progress of the active shooter incident that took place on the evening of 20 May 2020 at the Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale Arizona. The gunman, Armando Hernandez, a Self-identified INCEL, entered and began firing indiscriminately into the shopping mall while live-streaming on Snapchat. During his rampage, Hernandez expressed sentiments often associated with the Accelerationist Movement and first used by the Christchurch active shooter, Brenton Tarrant. Although known to be "strongly anti-government" by former classmates, Hernandez stated his motives were because of his misogynistic beliefs.
