Instructional poster: Sternenkrone Division Telegram Channel: "COVID-19 If You Have The Bug, Give a Hug. Spread The Flu To Every Jew - Holocough"

Bottom Line Up Front:
Extremists continue to urge the weaponization of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). TRAC Analyst Kelsey Tamplin publishes the latest threat from the right-wing
Sternenkrone Division Telegram Channel which includes the poster at right, "
Have the Bug, Give a Hug. Spread the flu to Every Jew."
Since early March, extreme far right circles have pushed instructions on how to spread panic and attack aid workers and national guard during the pandemic. The term 'holocough' now being widely used by many racist groups on Telegram has a dual meaning - one to suggest that coughing on Jews would be equivalent to the Holocaust; the other to make fun of the Holocaust which they widely perceive as a Jew-manipulated conspiracy that never actually occurred.

Taliban/IEA: Educating the Public on Dangers of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Patika, Saripul, Logar, Badghis, Afghanistan
|
In what may be one of the oddest pandemic health campaigns, the Taliban/IEA is educating Afghans on the dangers of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 through awareness meetings and other methods. By distributing masks, soaps and other protections, the group is encouraging civilians to heed the directions of health practitioners and take all necessary precautions in curbing the spread of the virus. By circulating photos of their efforts, the Taliban is attempting to position itself as the governmental authority but also as the savior of the common man. The campaign has been active in four Afghan provinces: Paktika, Saripul, Logar, and Badghis.
