BOTTOM LINE UPFRONT: TRAC analysts immediately began monitoring Parler again following its reappearance this week. Almost immediately, right-wing influencers such as Proud Boys Chairman Enrique Tarrios and Milo Yiannopoulos (aka Milo Andreas Wagner) reactivated their Parler accounts. Almost as quickly, Yiannopoulos' account was removed by Parler for provocative statements that Parler contended violated its Terms of Service. As for Tarrios, his first posts (image at right) blamed Antifa supporters of attempting to deplaform Parler. By Tuesday, we detected a spike in extreme far right channels on Telegram. Those circles have been loudly proclaiming that Parler archives had become an FBI "honeypot" since the the storming of the U.S. Capitol building. Indeed, user logs and chats were handed over by Parler to federal investigators and arrests have been made based on the records. The most extreme Terrorwave Telegram network was giddy to recruit so-called 'normies' when Parler closed and Telegram announced more than 27 million new users who migrated from both Parler and Twitter. Since many former Parler users have already migrated to Telegram, the real question is will they migrate back? Given that many were new to Parler when it was shuttered, it's likely that the loyalty needed to move back is not there.

TRAC Incident Report: Hayy'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) Releases US National Journalist Bilal Abdul Kareem (Darrell Lamont Phelps), Idlib, Syria |
On 17 February, Hayy'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) released US national Bilal Abdul Kareem (Darrell Lamont Phelps) whom it kidnapped on 14 August 2020 for criticizing the group. The details of the release are not available at the time of this writing, however, HTS set some conditions for this release. TRAC notes that Mr. Kareem should not take his release lightly. In 2020, British Aid Worker, Tauqir Sharif, was kidnapped, released conditionally, and then re-kidnapped a month later for criticizing HTS. Hayy'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) is trying to soften its image as a jihadist group with the international audience to present itself as a legitimate actor. Especially after its leader's, Joulani, 'hosted' PBS reporter, Martin Smith for three days and granting an interview, holding an American journalist hostage would be bad optics for their ambitions. However, it all maybe in vain, HTS likely responsible for the recent spate of targeted assassinations and kidnappings 7-10 February. The timing of releasing Bilal Abdul Kareem likely has the dual purpose of attempting to reduce the immense local discontentment of HTS' governance by kidnappings and assassinations.

(Right Wing Extremism) Telegram Channel Circulates Manifesto "Our Struggle" Chr*stianity is a carefully planned process designed to EXTERMINATE the White Race |
A right-wing Telegram channel released a new manifesto, "Our Struggle." The main crux of its argument is that Christianity was designed by Jews to destroy the white race. It is only by going back to the old historical Norse mythology that true white heritage will be saved. The complete destruction of the white race is accomplished in three stages according to "Our Struggle." Stage 1: Convert to Christianity; Stage 2: Communism; and Stage 3: Physical Extermination. The very influential Telegram channel in the Terrorgram network who often spreads instructional advice on how to attack soft targets. After the storming of the US Capitol siege on 06 January 2021 Telegram made an effort to shutter the most extreme Telegram channels such as this particular one. At the time of its shuttering this Telegram Channel had well over 7,300 subscribers. Reemerging under a new name, the channel has been steadily growing and as of 16 February 2021, the channel has 2,043 subscribers. It should be noted that the manifesto does not contain references to Satanism or Satanic culture. Recently, this Telegram Channel was accused of being an adherent of Order of the 9 Angles (O9A/ONA). |

TRAC INCIDENT REPORT: Proof Of Life Video For 42 Students, Faculty & Their Families Kidnapped From Boarding School in Kagara, Rafi Local Government Area, Niger State, Nigeria |
On the night of 15/16, unidentified gunmen dressed in military uniforms raided a boarding school while roughly 600 boys were asleep, killing one student and kidnapping 27 students. Three members of the staff who resided at the school and 12 of their family members were also taken. The incident is nearly identical to a kidnapping in December 2020 in Katsina State. Where it is rumored that local bandits kidnapped 330 students then sold them to Boko Haram (Jama'atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda'awati wal-Jihad - JAS) to negotiate the ransom. Indeed, Boko Haram claimed the attack, although the kidnapping is outside their areas of operations. Since a large ransom was almost immediately paid, the incentives to continue to target students remain high. It should be noted the differences between male and female students' kidnappings in Nigeria. To date, many of the Chibok girls kidnapped have never returned and ransom was never paid; compared to the the male student's kidnapping where ransom was paid within hours of the proof of life video release.
