Weekly Analyst Review
BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT: In light of the recent riots in South Africa, we have been monitoring extreme right wing Telegram channels taking advantage of the violence and turmoil to advocate for a global race war. This isn't the first time that racists, white nationalists, eco-fascists and general accelerationists have anticipated South Africa as the spark that would initiate the collapse of society. In October 2020, the extreme far right on Telegram were greatly disappointed when the Counter Protests in Senekal, Free State of South Africa did not dissolve into mass chaos and ignite a global race war. Of particular interest are the number of extreme far right commentators who TRAC has geo-located as located within the United States. Many of these Americans believe that if whites in South Africa are successful in legally killing Black people en mass in self-defense, it will inspire white people in the United States to do the same. Many encourage stockpiling weapons and ammunition and taking up arms in collective action against the Blacks in South Africa because they believe the governments will only continue to protect the minorities that are causing the problem. Additionally, they condemn law enforcement in South Africa for their poor handling of the violence, adding to their argument that the Boers, the original white settlers in South Africa, have the right to defend their property and belongings from the rioters. We also detected a request on the the South Africa Reports Telegram channel in its plea for cryptocurrency help from the international racist community on Telegram is reacting to the news that a million rounds of 9mm ammunition had been stolen. TRAC also notes that racist observers from the United States began a coordinated propaganda campaign to disseminate fake news to attract more people to the plight of the white male. Advocating the spread videos of Zulu violence from Phoenix, South Africa on other platforms and chat rooms labeling it BLM violence in Phoenix, Arizona in order to radicalize -or- black pill disenfranchised 2020 presidential election voters.

TRAC INCIDENT REPORT: White Supremacist Wesley Charles Martines Arrested With Weapons and a Manifesto, in Campbell, Santa Clara County, California
On 09 July, around midnight PDT, the owner of Revv Auto Sales at 60 E. Sunnyoaks Avenue in Campbell reported a suspicious person stalking around the lot, investigating the cars and the storage shed. When police responded they found Wesley Charles Martines cooperative but noticed an AR-style rifle in the front seat and searched the vehicle. A second assault rifle and a Glock 9 mm handgun were found inside the vehicle along with body armor loaded with extended magazines for the AR-style rifles and throwing knifes. Additionally, a pipe bomb with no explosive material but filled with pellets was also inside the vehicle. Of particular note is the ammunition found inside the vehicle inscribed with classic extreme far right mantras include “Cop Killer,” “To a widow from the Grim Reaper” and “A Good Start.” It should be noted that Brenton Tarrant the Christchurch, New Zealand Mosque Active Shooter inscribed his weapons with similar phrases.
Antidotally narcotics (heroin, methamphetamine) were also found inside the vehicle. Though Martines was likely under the influence of narcotics, it should not be dismissed as a drug induced rage. A handwritten manifesto indicating the desire to 'wipe out the Black, Hispanic and Jewish populations' was also found inside the vehicle. Given the sheer amount of weapons, including the well-stocked pockets of the body armor in his possession, Martines was clearly prepared if not well planned. It should be noted that the news of Martines manifesto and subsequent arrest has not made it to the Telegram racist echo-chamber.
TRAC Incident Report: Bomb Targets Passenger Bus Carrying Chinese Engineers & Pakistani Soldiers in Kohistan District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan
On 14 July, a passenger bus carrying Chinese engineers working on a hydroelectric power station and soldiers guarding them was targeted by an explosion in Kohistan District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The bombing killed 13 people, including 9 Chinese citizens; at least 39 people were injured by the explosion. Chinese interests in Pakistan have been peppered with attacks since the announcement of the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in 2013. The vast majority of attacks on Chinese interests occur in Balochistan who oppose CPEC but it should be noted that CPEC also is being built through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Additionally, it is worth noting that CPEC also being built through Xinjiang Province in China, known for their re-education camps of Muslims. The Dasu hydroelectric project, where the Chinese engineers were working, is part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Both the Taliban and Islamic State operate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The day prior the Pakistani army was ambushed by the Taliban while on a rescue mission to release hostages.
The Chinese engineers were working on the hydroelectric power station in Kohistan District. Part of Islamic State's 'Economic Warfare' campaign specifically targets the electrical grids; Islamic State Khurasan (ISK) has been most active in targeting electrical towers in Afghanistan.

TRAC INCIDENT REPORT: Islamic State Suicide Bombing Hits Crowded Market During Eid al Adha Shopping Hours in the al-Habibiya Neighborhood of Sadr City, Eastern Baghdad, Iraq
On the evening of Eid al Adha on 19 July, an explosion occurred at the outdoor market in Sadr City. Early reports from unnamed government officials the explosion was caused by a suicide bomber. Preliminary reports account for 18 dead and 30 injured; locals report the casualty count much higher from 65-80 people dead and injured. When the Iraqi Interior Ministry officers, led by Abu Rahiif, came to investigate the scene, they were chased away because faith in the government is nonexistent. The suicide bomber at Woheilat Market makes the third attack on the same Shia market in 2021. The shocking news of the explosion occurs on the eve of Eid al Adha holiday, when shopping at the market would have been exceptionally high for celebrations. Islamic State is known for specifically targeting Shiites in Sadr City. The claim states: "More than 65 apostates killed and injured in an attacked in al-Sadr city, eastern Iraq. Brother Abu Hamza al-Iraqi headed to an apostate gathering in al-Sadr city, eastern Iraq. Then he detonated his suicide vest killing more than 30 people and injuring 35 others."
