🚨TransUnion Data Breach🚨

Consumer credit reporting giant TransUnion has confirmed a data breach affecting over 4.4 million people in the U.S. after attackers accessed its Salesforce systems.

The breach occurred July 28, 2025 and was discovered two days later. Stolen data reportedly includes names, contact details, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, and customer service records. No credit reports or core credit scores were exposed, but the information taken is still highly sensitive and could be used for identity theft.

What to do now:

  • Enroll in free monitoring: TransUnion is offering 24 months of myTrueIdentity credit monitoring at no cost.
  • Place a fraud alert or credit freeze: This makes it harder for criminals to open accounts in your name.
  • Watch for phishing attempts: Attackers may use stolen personal details to craft convincing scams.
  • Check your credit reports regularly: You’re entitled to free weekly reports at AnnualCreditReport.com.

Cool Tip: Even if you weren’t notified, consider taking precautions, large breaches often have ripple effects.

You can read the official breach filing from the Maine Attorney General’s Office.

And in Other News...

  • 100+ templates for how‑tos, celebrations, documentaries, and more.
  • Import from Google Slides, upload clips, or record yourself.
  • Add images, stock media, audio, and transitions.
  • Share via link or download as MP4.

What’s still paid:

  • AI‑powered features like Gemini‑generated scripts, Veo 3 video creation, Imagen 4 images, and AI avatars remain for Workspace or Gemini Pro/Ultra subscribers

Cool Tip: If you’ve been using Slides for presentations, try converting them into videos with Vids, it’s a quick way to make polished content without pro‑level editing skills.

Fly Anywhere for Free with This Online Flight Simulator

GeoFS brings global flight simulation into your browser with real-world maps, dozens of aircraft, and multiplayer flying, all for free. Whether you’re a casual user or a pilot in training, this is one of the easiest ways to take off virtually.

Have you ever wanted to pilot a jet over New York City or glide over the Alps without leaving your desk?

Most flight simulators demand expensive hardware, large downloads, and steep learning curves.

Here's a Cool Tip:  Fly Online with GeoFS.

GeoFS runs entirely in your web browser, giving you the freedom to fly anywhere in the world using real satellite imagery.

What Is GeoFS?

GeoFS is a web-based flight simulator that uses real-world satellite maps to let users fly dozens of aircraft anywhere on Earth.

It runs directly in your browser—no installation required and supports multiple control options, from simple keyboard input to USB flight sticks.

Because it’s multiplayer, you’ll often find other pilots flying in real time around the globe.

This combination of accessibility, realism, and community makes GeoFS a unique tool for casual gamers, students in classrooms, and even pilots looking to sharpen basic navigation skills.

What You’ll Gain

  1. Explore the entire globe with real satellite maps.
  2. Fly a variety of aircraft, from ultralights to passenger jets.

Trivia Answer: B) SubLogic Flight Simulator II

While Microsoft Flight Simulator is the most famous name in the genre, the foundational software was actually created by Bruce Artwick and his company, SubLogic.

The original SubLogic Flight Simulator was developed for the Apple II in the late 1970s.

However, it was Flight Simulator II, released in 1983 for a variety of home computers, that truly broke new ground.

It was the first to offer a detailed, continent-spanning landscape, albeit with wire-frame graphics.

Microsoft partnered with SubLogic, licensing their software to create their own series, which would eventually become the juggernaut we know today.
