The largest Colorado Senior Games in history are officially complete! More than 1,250 athletes competed across 18 sports and multiple venues throughout the Colorado Springs region, creating a weekend filled with inspiring performances, new friendships, and unforgettable moments.

The 2026 Colorado Senior Games By The Numbers



1255 total athletes participated in the Colorado Senior Games across the 18 sports offered.

Over 28 states (and Canada!) were represented by Athletes.

The Oldest Athlete competed at the age of 93. Congratulations to Joseph Murphy who took home gold in the 50m Dash!

24 Athletes had their registration covered through the Senior Resource Council scholarship fund.

Softball had the highest participation of all sports with over 400 athletes across 27 teams

Volunteer Spotlight: Margaret Carroll



Some volunteers go above and beyond, and Margaret (in yellow above) is a perfect example. Traveling to Colorado Springs from Florida just to be part of the Colorado Senior Games experience, Margaret shared that many of the athletes were longtime teammates, competitors, and friends. Her dedication to the game and the community behind it embodies the spirit that makes the Colorado Senior Games so special.

This event would not have been possible without the dedication of our incredible volunteers, who showed up early, stayed late, and made every athlete feel welcome.
