Springing Into Action: Embracing Growth and Inclusion

Hello Allison,

Spring is a season of growth and renewal, and at Imagine!, we are embracing that spirit as we continue to rejuvenate and expand opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Whether through innovative programs, strong community partnerships, or advocacy efforts, our mission remains the same—to create a more inclusive and empowering world for all.

In this issue, you’ll find inspiring stories of individuals reaching their goals, updates on key initiatives, an important look at the potential impact of Medicaid cuts on the individuals we serve, and ways you can make a difference. Your support fuels everything we do, and we are so grateful to have you as part of our Imagine! family.

Thank you for believing in the potential of every individual we serve. Together, we are building brighter futures!

With gratitude,

Jodi

FEATURE STORY

Championing Independence and Community: Jeff Clark’s Story - Why Medicaid Matters to Him

Jeff Clark is an active, engaged, and passionate member of the Imagine! community. Through Medicaid-funded services, he receives the support he needs to live more independently, pursue his interests, and stay connected with his community.

Recently, Jeff had the honor of leading the Pledge of Allegiance at the Colorado State Capitol for I/DD Awareness Day, a powerful moment that underscored the importance of advocacy for individuals with I/DD. His story is a testament to the life-changing impact of Imagine!’s services made possible by Medicaid waivers.

For Jeff, Medicaid isn’t just about healthcare—it’s about opportunity, inclusion, and the ability to thrive. It enables him to receive personal care supports and the opportunity to participate in Imagine! programs including theater, mentorship, technology, and community outings. By participating in these activities, Jeff benefits by gaining life skills such as friendship building, and confidence/skill development.

Jeff’s journey is a powerful reminder of why Medicaid matters—not just for him, but for thousands of individuals who rely on these services for independence and dignity.

As we navigate an ever-changing political landscape, we recognize the importance of staying informed and engaged, especially when it comes to policies that impact vital services like Medicaid. Medicaid is the foundation of support for so many individuals and families, and we are closely monitoring potential changes that could affect funding and accessibility. Our commitment remains the same: to advocate for the resources and opportunities that empower people of all abilities to live the lives of their choosing.
