Announcing the JRA Royalty Program

We’re rolling out the red carpet for leadership, service, and Red Angus pride! The Junior Red Angus Royalty Program is officially launching—and we’re thrilled to announce the addition of the JRA Queen and Princess titles! These roles will serve as ambassadors for the JRA, representing the heart of our junior program at shows, events, and industry functions throughout the year.

🌟 JRA Queen – A senior-level leader who exemplifies maturity, breed knowledge, and dedication to the Red Angus community.

🌟 JRA Princess – A rising voice and role model for younger members, showing spirit, kindness, and a growing passion for the breed.

These young women will help promote the Red Angus breed, encourage youth involvement, and showcase what it means to be part of the JRA family. More than a crown, it’s an opportunity to lead, inspire, and grow.

Let’s celebrate the next generation of female leaders in Red Angus—royally! Applications due May 16th, 2025.

New JRA Awards to Be Presented at RAYE

The Junior Red Angus (JRA) Awards Program recognizes exceptional members who exemplify leadership, dedication, and a deep commitment to the Red Angus breed. Through this program, we are proud to honor the hard work and character of our youth as they grow into future leaders of the beef industry.

The JRA Herdsman Award celebrates a junior member who demonstrates outstanding animal husbandry, sportsmanship, and a strong work ethic both in and out of the show ring. This individual goes above and beyond to care for their cattle and support their fellow exhibitors.

The Outstanding JRA Member Award honors an all-around standout—someone who has shown excellence in leadership, involvement, service, and breed promotion. This prestigious award is given to a member who embodies the spirit and values of the JRA program.

These awards are more than recognition—they celebrate the next generation of Red Angus advocates. The nomination deadline is June 1, 2025.
