Inclement Weather Communication

We want to remind families how we’ll share updates in case of inclement weather. If the weather may impact the school day, St. Benedict’s will notify you through email, social media, stbs.org, local news outlets, and PikMyKid.

You can expect an evening update if forecasts look concerning, and a morning update if conditions change overnight.

Thanksgiving Break with Stingers Unplugged

Need care for your child on Monday and Tuesday, November 24-25, 2025? Register for Thanksgiving Break Stingers Unplugged by November 21, 2025. Care runs from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. on both days, with half-day, one day, and two day options available. Registration is required for all students who attend regardless of aftercare registration.

This Friday, November 21, 2025 is early dismissal, and Stingers Unplugged will be available from dismissal until 4:00 P.M.

If your child is normally in Friday aftercare, no action is needed. If your student is not, please email stingerssquad@stbs.org and copy your child’s teacher to let us know. Please note that all students must be picked up by 4:00 P.M. (even if you are registered for 6:00 P.M. aftercare pickup on normal Fridays).

Support St. Jude's Food Bank

As part of St. Benedict’s commitment to serving others, parishioners collect food donations for St. Jude’s Episcopal Church Food Bank. St. Jude’s has shared a list of their most-needed items—see the Donations Wish List below.

St. B’s parents can join this effort by bringing items to Chapel and placing them in the Narthex drop-off box. Together, we can share Christ’s love and make a difference. For more information, contact Greg Stevens at gregorylstevens@gmail.com.

Spring 2026 Extended Care and Clubs

Registration for Spring semester Extended Care and Enrichment Clubs will open on November 18, 2025. Registration must be completed no later than December 12, 2025, to be guaranteed a spot in the Stingers Squad program for Spring semester 2026. Additional information will be provided to all families directly by email before registration opens.

Preschool Fall Spirit Day

Preschool will be having a Fall Spirit Day on November 21, 2025! Show your fall spirit by dressing in your best fall attire! Think cozy sweaters, warm colors, and festive accessories.

Feeling creative? Come dressed as your favorite fall symbol: a pumpkin, a leaf, or anything autumn-inspired! We can’t wait to see everyone’s fun and festive looks.

Please remember: No one-piece outfits.

Request for Clothing Donations!

Stingers Squad is in need of extra clothing, particularly pants, to use when children have restroom accidents. Our stock of extra pants is depleted, and we would welcome any pants size 2T or above that your child has outgrown and you would like to donate! Please drop them off at the Stingers Squad door, or send them in a labeled bag at drop off.

Please Note: We cannot accept used underwear.

Weekly Chapel Services

Join us! Parents and visitors for all 1st-8th grade chapels may park at the Hive or South Campus. PS/K families are asked to attend only when their child has a birthday blessing or serves as a Chapel helper--you'll hear from your child's teacher!

Chapel uniforms are required beginning in Kindergarten. Don't forget to tuck in your shirt and wear a tie! Sweater vests are required for grades 5th-8th.

Through the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program, you can make a difference by contributing funds that directly support our ability to offer financial assistance, and you will receive a 100% Georgia income tax credit in exchange for your contribution!
