#1. Exercise - This can be hard to incorporate into a busy lifestyle but I sneak in exercise whenever it's possible.
#2. Sleep - I make every effort to get 6 to 8 hours of sleep every night. Sleeping less than 6 hours can increase the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure and strokes.
#3. Drinking Water - Minimizing sodas and sugar containing drinks is a simple way I like to cut out calories from my diet. Consuming water is an important part of decreasing the risk of developing diabetes, obesity and heart disease.
#4. Healthy Breakfast - Eating healthy in the morning helps keep me going throughout the busy day. It is a great opportunity to add fiber and antioxidants into my diet.
#5. Having Hobbies - For me, spending time with family and friends is a huge stress reliever. Indulging in activities that make us happy is beneficial since it alleviates stress, which is a common risk factor for developing heart disease.
