Bowie Boys and Girls Cross Country competed last week at their District Meet!! For the 4^th time in 4 years, both Varsity boys and girls will be returning to Regionals together!  

The Varsity Boys finished in second place by only 4 points. Lead by Junior Griffin Hummel who took 2^nd place, Freshman Atticus Reyes was 9^th place, Senior Josh Flournoy was 10^th place, and Sophomore Cooper Ford 13^th place!

Varsity Girls also finished in a close second place, lead by your 1st place District Champion-Junior Miah McAulay, Junior Kimberly Wood took 10^th place and Junior Willa Bock took 14th.

Bowie's Junior Varsity boys and girls both took 2^nd place as well yesterday! 1^st Place finish in the Boys race was Freshman Bryce Jokinen and for the girls, 1^st place finish was Junior Audrey Campbell. Other top finishers for boys: Junior Zach Tishgart in 4^th place. Top for the girls: Sophomore: Caroline Price in 3^rd place.

Bowie's Freshman Girls took 2^nd place yesterday! Lead by 3^rd place Zoe Diaz, 4th place Zoe Stover, 8th place Selah Guthrie, and 9th place Emily Spalding.

Bowie's Freshman Boys took home the only 1^st Place team trophy for the Dawgs!! Roman Gonzalez was first place for the freshman, followed by 3rd place Lucas Gonzalez, 4th place Jack Trumbly, 5th place Gerrardo Gutierrez. Freshman boys took 10 of the top 15 places in this race! Excellent showing by the Pups!!

Varsity will run in Corpus Christi Oct 21st and have their shot at another return to the State Championship! Wish them luck and GO Dawgs!!!
