The Hamden Regional Chamber is proud to partner with our

Hamden Legislative Delegation to present the very first

HAMDEN DAY at the State Capitol. This exciting opportunity gives our local businesses a powerful platform to highlight their products and services directly to State leaders, officials, and visitors from across Connecticut.

This is a chance to demonstrate the innovation, talent, and economic strength that define our community, and to show Connecticut that Hamden’s business community is vibrant, engaged, growing and strong!

There is no cost to participate, only an opportunity to represent Hamden with pride.

Member & Town News:

PARETT PORTO: Carl Porto, Sr. is honored as the 2026 recipient of the Connecticut Bar Association’s John Eldred Shields Distinguished Professional Service Award.  On Thursday, March 12, 2026, Carl Porto. Sr. was honored by the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA) as the 2026 recipient of the John Eldred Shields Distinguished Professional Services Award at this year’s Celebrate with the Stars event.

The annual Shields Award recognizes and honors one member of the Connecticut Bar Association “…who has performed throughout his career outstanding service through or on behalf of the Connecticut Bar Association, for the benefit of the legal community and the community at large”. To be chosen for this lifetime achievement, the recipient must have demonstrated leadership, a commitment and record of service to the CBA and to the public at large. Carl’s service on numerous state, local and federal bar committees and task forces, his appointment to the Connecticut Judicial Review Council and his service as chair of the CBA Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee for over two decades demonstrates his long standing commitment to the CBA and the legal profession. As a member and president of many state and local community organizations, Carl has demonstrated the same commitment to the Town of Hamden, the greater New Haven community and the State of Connecticut.
