Minister's Message
Beloved Community:

Last week, even as we were in Sunday Service, the CDC issued new guidelines for meetings during the Covid-19 crisis. Your Leadership, Practitioner Core and I have been closely monitoring the ever-evolving recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and our local, state and national government regarding the Covid-19 pandemic a nd have reluctantly made the decision to close our Sunday Services to the public through March.

This means we will no longer have Sunday Services where we allow the public to come into our sanctuary.   But we are still doing church!  We will be streaming our services online via Facebook Live at 10:30 am each Sunday. (see details in the article below).

I have very mixed feelings about closing our church to public worship. My heart wants to step out in faith and provide a physical place of solace and comfort for our people during this time of crisis.  But we are being called to participate as good citizens in this global issue and to support all measures to help protect the wider community.

Religious Science teaches that we are all One.....so we must act as one for the safety and health of all people in Boise and around the world. So now, with quiet resignation and sadness, I agree that we must temporarily shut our doors to the public.  I do this, not from a place of fear, but from a place of civic responsibility and deep respect for all life.

I believe that our number one job right now is to keep our minds centered on Principle. We know that we are spiritual beings living in a spiritual universe governed by our use of Spiritual law. . .the Law of Cause and Effect.  This means that we must consciously recognize everything that is going on, but from a place of understanding that it is all spiritual in nature, even as we are having a human experience, called Covid-19. We know that even this virus is spiritual in nature. I believe it has come along at a perfect time in human history: just when our country needed to come together...when this world needed to come together.  It is unfortunate that it took an epidemic to bring us together in love and compassion, but here it is...and so here we are!  Yes, I can see the good, even in this.

Remember…. WE WILL BE HAVING SERVICES ON SUNDAY!  Same time, same place, but on-line where everyone can participate. The article below explains it all. I will show up every Sunday morning and do the service with our musical director, Rex Miller, a guest singer, (This week it is Lisa Bittick!), some of our congregational singers, a Practitioner and a technology volunteer.
We will be keeping it a very small group of dedicated volunteers who will produce an inspiring service to help our congregation stay connected with our Sunday Community time. Our practitioners to be on stand-by to pray by phone with folks immediately after the live-stream ends and you will have the same excellent Sunday Service you have come to expect from our team at the CSL Boise!

I will continue to do counseling and prayer in person at the church (with 6 feet distance) for non-Covid-19 infected folks and I am available 24/7 by phone. And, we will have on-line prayer requests and our prayer line (208.375.0791) is monitored several times a day. Please reach out to us! Your Practitioners, our Compassionate Care Team and I are here to support you and your loved ones during this difficult time.

We are also looking at ways to make our giving methods easier to find and use. As you know, our expenses do not stop even though the church is empty. Please check this week's e-blast and our Web-page for the many ways you can continue to give to the Center and for the most recent updates on changes and new activities at the CSL Boise!

I hold you all in my heart and prayers for Perfection, Wholeness, Radiant Health and Peace!

See you on-line this Sunday!

Lisa Bittick

"There is a God Power at the center of every person's being, a Presence that knows neither lack, limitation nor fear, sickness, disquiet nor imperfection. But because everyone is an individual, we can build a wall of negative thought between ourself and this perfection.

Now we are to tear down this wall, to completely destroy it. The view which this wall obstructed is now seen in all its grandeur. "

Prayer of the Week
In this precious moment, we recognize the Power and Presence of GOD right here and right now. God is Light, Love and all Beauty in the world. Peace is all there is in the Universe.

We are each totally and completely IMMERSED in the Peace of the Universe. It surrounds us, come through us and is us. We are each one with this Divine Spirit and are perfect, whole manifestations of this Spirit on earth. We are connected to Spirit and we are connected to each other. We are ALL one!

We each embrace our perfect divineness. Our hearts and minds are open to allow our perfect wholeness to be revealed! We trust, we love and nothing will shake that. We may not understand why this is happening, but we know the Knower that does. We are each divinely protected and guided. Knowing the best and highest good for each person reading this prayer.
It is with a deeply grateful heart that I release this Word.

I let it go and let GOD!

And so it is!
