Welcome to Christian Baptist Church. Our mission on Main Street is simple: to love God with all of who we are and to love our neighbours well, trusting that along the way one more person might come to know and experience a life-changing connection with Jesus.

Wherever you’re coming from, you’re welcome here.

Sunday Worship Service

English Ministry - 11am

Have you ever followed Jesus ... from a distance?

In Mark 14:53–72, we step into a courtroom and a courtyard. Inside, Jesus stands faithful under false accusation. Outside, Peter collapses under pressure. One confesses. One denies.

And yet, this is not just a story about failure. It’s the story of a rightful King who stands in our place and restores broken runaways like us.

If you’ve ever drifted. If you’ve ever stayed silent. If you’ve ever felt the rooster crow in your own life. There is mercy here.

Join us this Sunday as we continue through the Gospel of Mark. We'll gather afterward for a Potluck meal and our Annual General Meeting.

Come hungry. Come honest. Come home.
And don't forget your Bible!

Church life is meant to be lived in community. If you’re unable to be with us in person this Sunday, we’d still love you to join us live as we gather together on Zoom Church.

The service archive has been updated. If you've missed a message or would like to revisit one from a few weeks back, our Sunday morning archive is available on YouTube.

Sunday Worship Service

Mandarin Ministry - 9am

This Sunday our Mandarin speaking congregation will gather in the Worship Centre to dive into God’s Word. This congregation is a growing community of faith with a deep hunger for truth and a heart to serve.

这个星期天,我们的国语会众将聚集在礼拜堂,一同聆听和学习神的话语。

这是一个正在成长的信仰群体,对真理有着深切的渴慕,也怀着愿意服事的心

We are in a season of prayer as we look for a new pastor, someone who will lead with wisdom, love, and a shared vision for the road ahead. Please keep us in your prayers, asking God for clear direction, faithful provision, and unity as we take these next steps in faith.

We hope you’ll plan to join us on Sunday. Following our regular worship service on Sunday, March 1, 2026 we’ll gather in the Community Room for a potluck lunch, followed by our Annual General Meeting. It’s a time to look back with gratitude at what God has been doing here at CBC and to look ahead together to the year to come.

We’re excited to let you know that the Deacons have been working on our refreshed Statement of Faith for Christian Baptist Church.

Our hope is simple: that our church family will read it ahead of time, and that we’ll be able to adopt it at the AGM. This is meant to be a unifying document that will serve as both an evangelistic and a membership tool, giving us clear, shared language for what we believe the Bible teaches about God, Salvation, the Church, and the Christian life.

If you have a question or concern after reading it, please reach out to Pastor Andrew or Jeff Scobie, Judy Corbett or George Meisner before the AGM so it can be addressed in advance, with clarity and care.

Printed copies are available again this Sunday. Please take one, read it carefully, and come to the Annual General Meeting on March 1 prepared to receive it.

Many of us carry heavy things quietly and on our own. You don’t have to do that here. We would count it a privilege to pray with you and for you. Prayer Request cards are available on the table as you enter the Worship Centre each Sunday. You can place a completed card in the offering plate, or you can click the image above to share your request privately online.

Each Wednesday, we gather to share a BBQ lunch, a cup of coffee, and a warm bowl of soup with our hungry and homeless neighbours right here on Main Street. It’s a simple way we show care and kindness, offering both good food and the good news of Jesus.

If you’d like to help serve, or if you’d like to learn more about this ministry, please connect with Pastor Andrew or George Flack.

It’s hard to ignore that many people in our country are struggling with food insecurity. While we can’t fix everything, we can show up for a few neighbours right here on Main Street. This ministry is a simple, practical way we care for those who are facing hardship, including some who are experiencing homelessness.

You can be part of that care by donating some of the items listed below. The needs do vary from week to week.

Instant Coffee, Canned Meat, Tomato/Meat Pasta Sauce,
Warm Hats, Toothpaste

Many of you have given faithfully over the past year to support the ministry God has entrusted to us here on Main Street. Our offering is a meaningful part of our worship, reminding us that giving isn’t just about meeting a budget, but about trusting and serving God. It’s an act of gratitude and obedience.

We encourage you to give in the way that works best for you. You’re welcome to give by e-transfer, cheque, or cash. As we pass the plate, we’re simply bringing our offerings back into the shared rhythm of worship as a church family. Thank you for your continued faithfulness and generosity in supporting the ministry of CBC.

Following our time of worship this Sunday, don’t rush off. Come downstairs to the Community Room and spend a bit of time together. Grab a coffee, have a conversation, and maybe encourage someone carrying a heavy load this week.

Church doesn’t only happen in the pews on Sunday morning. It also happens around tables with real people. We’d love to see you there.
