Advancing Complete Streets for Neurodivergent Individuals


The NJDOT Bicycle and Pedestrian Resource Center released a primer highlighting transportation challenges faced by people with autism and other developmental disabilities and offers strategies for inclusive infrastructure and partnerships.

VTC-POET and the Environmental Analysis & Communications Group Assist NJ Municipalities in Building Climate Resilience 


With support from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s Resilient NJ Municipal Assistance Program, the Environmental Analysis & Communications Group and VTC-POET will work with several NJ municipalities to develop locally-specific Climate Change-Related Hazard Vulnerability Assessments.

Gentle Density: Unlocking the Missing Middle in Housing


This TOD in Your Downtown event, held May 29, brought together experts and practitioners from municipal governments, non-profit organizations, and the private sector to discuss best practices for implementing gentle density and missing middle housing in New Jersey.


NJDOT Tech Talk! Webinar Research Showcase: Lunchtime Edition 2025


On May 14, the NJDOT Bureau of Research hosted a Lunchtime Tech Talk! featuring four presentations on key research studies. Over 80 attendees from New Jersey’s transportation community joined to explore a range of academic research initiatives across the state.

NJDOT Congratulates the 2025 New Jersey Safe Routes to School Recognition Program Winners


This year, 357 school and municipal winners are being recognized for their commitment and support of the Safe Routes to School program by enabling and encouraging walking and bicycling in their communities.
