THE SPIRIT OF GIVING
The California Judges Foundation (CJF) is dedicated to educating the public about the importance of an impartial judiciary for the administration of Justice in California. One of the primary traditional roles of CJF has been to provide funding for each edition of Judge David Rothman's California Judicial Conduct Handbook - the undisputed treatise on Judicial Ethics.
BUT WE DON'T STOP THERE!
Over the past two years, the CJF has provided courts with over $30,000 in grants to support community outreach. Grants have supported programs such as Butte County's Leadership Lunches, Sacramento's Court Clergy Conference, and Los Angeles' Young Women's Leadership Conference to just name a few. Help CJF continue to support our courts and give today!
BE PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER
In 2018, the CJF launched two new initiatives that expand our reach even further. Thanks to the vision of former CJF Board Member Judge Joan Weber (San Diego) and the support of the CJF Board and volunteers, the CJF High School Civics Essay contest granted high school seniors throughout the state a total of $15,000! Additionally, the CJF founded the Adam Z. Rice Scholarship program which in 2020 started awarding aspiring law school students with financial assistance to make sure everyone has an opportunity to pursue a career in the law.
But none of this can happen without your support!
