Update on COVID Paid Sick Leave
By CalChamber -
September 6, 2022
AB 152 (Committee on Budget) COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave passed the Legislature on August 31 and awaits action by the Governor.
The bill establishes the COVID-19 Relief Grant Program within the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) to help qualified small businesses or nonprofits with grants up to $50,000 to reimburse COVID-19 supplemental paid sick leave provided between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2022.

Dear LA County Sector Partners,
Please refer to our How to Get Tested for Monkeypox (English, Spanish) document (dated 9/1/22). Contact a doctor right away if you have a new unexplained rash or lesions on any part of your body. This is especially important if you were exposed to someone with or suspected to have monkeypox. The doctor will assess you and may take swabs of the rash for testing.

Monkeypox is a contagious disease caused by the monkeypox virus. Anyone who has been in close, personal contact with someone who has monkeypox is at risk.
Please see other pertinent information and resources can be found on the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health website at http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/media/monkeypox/

Good morning,
On behalf of the Board of Public Works, I wanted to share business resources available through 2 of our bureaus- the Bureau of Contract Administration and LA Sanitation and Environment.

The Bureau of Contract Administration will be holding the next series of AccessingLA, RiseWith, on October 13th.

AccessingLA's aim is to provide opportunities for building meaningful relationships, gaining valuable perspectives and accessing an abundance of resources to promote economic development and contracting with the City of Los Angeles. From start-up businesses to seasoned subcontractors, the Accessing LA events create an experience and a dynamic tight-knit community for those who want to do business with the City and other public agencies.

RiseWith promotes business/contracting development, especially in the San Fernando Valley.
