Hey Tennis Fans!

Spring leagues are in full swing in Western NC, but summer tennis is just around the corner - it’s time to start making plans!

Team registration is now OPEN, and summer offers some of our most unique playing opportunities. It’s the only season featuring Mixed Doubles, as well as a dedicated Singles league - perfect if you’re looking to get more one-on-one match play.

Tri-Level is also a great option if you want to play with friends across different skill levels. Many teams successfully compete with players from just two levels, with stronger players stepping up to the highest NTRP line to challenge themselves.

Whether you’re returning or looking to join a team for the first time, we’d love to help you find the right fit. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Looking forward to a great summer on the courts!

It's a Good Day for a Good Day, especially on the Tennis Court!

Summer League General Information

Summer offers the chance to play in 3 very unique leagues: Mixed Doubles, Tri-Level, and Singles. The days of play has been laid out to try to give players the opportunity to play in all 3 if they would like, or to compete at different age or NTRP levels.

Summer Leagues - Days of Play

Registration is $30 per player, and we are happy to continue offering captains a $10 registration discount as a thank-you for everything they do to keep our leagues running smoothly.

USTA Mixed Doubles League

Mixed Doubles is a great way for men and women to team up for some summer fun! This friendly, social, and competitive league offers players the chance to compete locally, with winners advancing to the State Championship.

Partner with a friend, family member, or co-worker and get in on the action!

Straight NTRP levels - Players can compete at their NTRP level or one level higher. For example, a 3.5 team may include 3.0 and 3.5 players in any combination.

All Age levels - 18 & Over, 40 & Over, 55 & Over, and 65 & Over (Not all levels

are offered in every age division)

Matches follow standard doubles rules, with each player serving to both opponents. Each doubles line must consist of one man and one woman. Teams play three lines of doubles per match - so grab a partner and join the fun!

Team Registration Closes: May 17 (must have a minimum of 3 men and 3 women registered by close)

Season Dates: May 31 through Aug 15

Tri-Level Doubles: Play with Friends at Different

Levels!

Tri-Level Doubles is a great way to team up with friends of different NTRP levels while keeping the competition fair. Each team match consists of three doubles courts, with each court at a different NTRP level (e.g., 4.0 / 3.5 / 3.0). Players compete against opponents with the highest-rated players on Line 1 and the lowest on Line 3.

  • Players may compete at their NTRP level or 0.5 above but not below.
  • Teams are gender-specific (not coed).
  • Two age divisions are offered: 18 & Over and 55 & Over.
  • Maximum of 15 players per team.
  • Matches count toward year-end NTRP ratings.

Players may join multiple teams as long as they are in different divisions. For example, a 3.5 player could compete on both an 18 & Over 4.0/3.5/3.0 team and a 55 & Over 4.0/3.5/3.0 team. However, there are no scheduling concessions for players on multiple teams.

Grab your friends, build a team, and enjoy the fun of Tri-Level Doubles!

Team Registration Closes: May 17 (minimum 6 players to field all 3 lines)

Season Dates: June 7 through Aug 29

Singles: Your Time to Shine!

Love the thrill of playing one-on-one? Our Summer Singles League is your chance to step onto the court and compete as an individual while still being part of a team!

While most USTA leagues focus on doubles, we know that singles players deserve their own spotlight. This league is perfect for those who want more singles play beyond the spring season. Compete locally for a shot at the State Championship and prove your skills in a format designed just for you.

  • Teams play 3 lines of singles.
  • Maximum of 9 players per team
  • Age divisions: 18 & Over, 40 & Over, and 55 & Over

Take the court, test your endurance, and showcase your singles game this summer!

Team Registration Closes: June 7 (minimum of 3 players)

Season Dates: June 21 through Sept 12

Looking for a Team?

If you are interested in participating but do not currently have a team, please complete the appropriate “Looking for a Team” forms. This will make your name available to captains seeking players. If there are enough players looking for a team within the same flight (same age division and NTRP level), and a captain is available, a team of new players may be formed.
