Old Mill Center for Children and Familieswas approved for Student Success Act Grant funds from the State of Oregon for 18 Preschool Promise spaces. These spaces are free for qualifying families living at 200% of the federal poverty level or below. Eligibility and placement are coordinated by the regional Early Learning Hub.
Just as in our already established Community Preschool Program, the new classrooms will help children build skills in every developmental domain – from beginning to learn their letters, numbers, colors, and shapes, to learning social skills, how to take care of themselves, and how to recognize and respond to their own emotions.
