Museum Month returns throughout the month of February


Starting Feb. 1, you can pick up a Museum Month pass at any Carlsbad City Library location while supplies last or download a digital pass to your mobile device. Present your pass this February for half-price admission for up to four people at 70+ museums around San Diego County from Feb. 1 through 28.

Local Author Fair

Carlsbad City Library is now recruiting authors for the third annual Local Author Fair.


The fair will feature 24 local authors from San Diego County, offering a chance for writers to connect with readers and promote their work.


Local authors are encouraged to apply and applications are open now through March 1.

Help Select Carlsbad’s Next Citizen of the Year


Do you know someone who goes above and beyond to make Carlsbad a better place? The City of Carlsbad is now accepting nominations for its Citizen of the Year award, recognizing residents who devote their time and energy to civic improvement, beautification and community well-being. A committee of Carlsbad residents appointed by the mayor will select up to two honorees. Nomination forms are available on the city website and at City Hall (1200 Carlsbad Village Drive). Please submit nominations by April 3.

All Carlsbad City Library locations will be closed on Monday, Feb.16 in observance of Presidents' Day.
