February 2026

As we move through the early months of the year, we’re reminded that progress is built through consistency, care, and connection. At CIS Dallas, we are deeply grateful for the partners and sponsors who make this work possible. Your support fuels meaningful relationships and creates opportunities that help students thrive.

This month, we’re also pleased to share our audited TEA data from the 2024–25 school year, reflecting strong outcomes in academics, behavior, promotion, and graduation. These results underscore the impact of being present on campuses—and the difference a supportive community can make.

Thank you for continuing to stand with our students and schools.

These outcomes are made possible through donor support. When you give to CIS Dallas, you invest in a proven, campus-based model that delivers measurable results for students who need it most.

Welcome to our newest campuses!

Village Tech Odyssey and Village Tech Radiant joined the CIS Dallas network this semester, and we’re thrilled to begin serving students and families in these communities.

Game On: Attendance Challenge Inspires Students

At Hyde Park Elementary School in Denison ISD, Site Coordinator Jessica is helping students stay motivated and engaged through a creative attendance initiative inspired by Plants vs. Zombies. Each grade level “advances” as attendance improves, turning daily participation into a friendly challenge that keeps students excited about showing up. Attendance is one of the key factors in improving student outcomes—alongside behavior and academics—which is why Being Present Matters is at the center of our work. By making attendance both visible and fun, Jessica is helping students build habits that support long-term success in school and beyond.

Our impact is powered by a community of donors, volunteers, and partners—and we love sharing that story. Follow CIS Dallas on social media to see how your support shows up on campuses, celebrate community partnerships, and stay informed about ways to give, volunteer, and get involved.

Celebrating 40 Years of Impact — and Looking Forward

2025 marked a major milestone for Communities In Schools of the Dallas Region: 40 years of showing up for students, families, and schools across North Texas. Since 1985, CIS Dallas has worked inside schools to remove barriers to learning and surround students with the support they need to stay in school and succeed in life.

As part of our 40th anniversary celebration, we’re proud to share the official press release announcing 40 and Forward: Celebrating the moments that made us. Investing in what comes next. The release highlights four decades of impact, our continued focus on student mental health and whole-child support, and details for our upcoming anniversary celebration at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science on March 11, 2026.

This milestone is about more than looking back — it’s about honoring the relationships, partnerships, and moments that shaped CIS Dallas, while recommitting ourselves to the work ahead. We invite you to read the full press release and join us as we celebrate the past and invest boldly in the future.

Additional information, including ways to participate, will be shared on our website and social media channels in the coming weeks.

Thank you for believing in CIS Dallas and in the potential of every student we serve.
