REMINDER
Due to the Covid-19 virus (Coronavirus), in-person worship services are canceled until further notice. The Reopening Task Force is anticipating that COVID-19 concerns will last well into 2021. Our primary concern remains to keep everyone healthy. We will continue to offer Zoom services regardless.
Volunteers Needed
Each week while we are worshiping via Zoom, we need an assisting minister and lector to help out - please consider volunteering! Sign up here
Zoom Worship Service Details Sunday, November 15, at 10 am
Join us on Sunday at 10 am via Zoom. Please take a few minutes before the service to download the bulletin and the insert so you can follow along with the order of service.

Feel free to stop by Schaeffer Memorial Chapel and pick up a hymnal if you would like one for use as we worship remotely.
The Word This Sunday November 15, 2020
24th Sunday after Pentecost
Our readings during November speak of the end times. Zephaniah proclaims that the coming day of the LORD will be filled with wrath and distress. Paul says it will come like a thief in the night and urges us to be awake and sober. Jesus tells the parable of the talents, calling us to use our gifts, while we still have time, for the greater and common good. In a world filled with violence and despair, we gather around signs of hope—word, water, bread, and wine—eager to welcome the good news of Christ’s coming among us.

The day of the Lord

So teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.
(Ps. 90:12)

Be alert for the day of the Lord

Toiletries for Veterans
November 2020
Social Ministries Project
In November, Epiphany members will be collecting much-needed toiletries for veterans - these will be donated to the Alpha Omega Veterans Services organization. Alpha Omega Veterans Services is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee that assists military veterans to reintegrate into society, often after achieving recovery and rehabilitation from debilitating mental and physical conditions. We are collecting (125) full-size tubes of toothpaste and Men's 3-in-1 shower gel (check your local Dollar Tree or Dollar General for great prices!). Items can be dropped off between 3-5 pm on Sunday, November 8 at the Epiphany Harvest Celebration being held at Epiphany Home Place (corner of Bray Station Rd. and Wolf River Blvd. in Collierville) or at the home of John Garner in Germantown any time during the month of November. Thank you for supporting this project! Please contact Lois Ketcham with any questions.

ELCA Stories of Faith in Action

Stories are the foundation of our faith. They teach us how to serve God with humility. They remind us of our identity as God’s beloved children. They bring us together and give us hope for the future. The ELCA's annual "Stories of Faith in Action" project illustrates how God is at work across the ELCA through your generosity. We will be highlighting a different story video each week!
