EVENTS RECAP

AN ESPECIALLY EXCITING EXPERIENCE!

It was truly gratifying to see our billboard that condemns Florida’s Culture Wars. The billboard was announced during the press conference, we held in the Capitol Rotunda on the 24th with our coalition partners.

We shared information about the bills LWVFL has drafted (SB904/HB1525) that require the Division of Elections to provide an Advisory Opinion on whether a person can vote within 90 days. Read more...

Standing Room Only at Our Sarasota County Growth Management Community Meeting!

An overflow, engaged audience listened intently to Susan Schoettle, former assistant county attorney and president of Keep the Country, Inc., and Lourdes Ramirez as they delivered an historical perspective of Sarasota County's growth management policies and explained why they are an ongoing major concern for our residents.

VOTER SERVICES IN ACTION

Great News!

Voter Services Has Been Awarded $1000 Grant

The grant from LWVUS is to be used to fund our programs to spread the word to returning citizens about procedures to restore their voting rights. In addition to our efforts addressing postcards we will be working closely with organizations that are interested in helping us with this effort.

We will be registering voters at the "Right to Read Festival" in Venice on February 24th. Volunteers are needed to help with setup and manning the booth!

Please consider helping us with tabling opportunities and speaker bureau events that are getting scheduled for this spring.
