Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall

Join us for an evening celebrating the legacy of George Bridgetower, the Afro-European violin virtuoso whose remarkable and long-overlooked story inspired this project. The program features chamber music works by Beethoven and Florence Price, along with the world premiere of Bridgetower Reimagined by Paquito D'Rivera, commissioned especially for the Bridgetower Project. The evening also features soprano Makeda Hampton performing selections from her new album, African Romances, and four-time GRAMMY® nominee guitarist Mak Grgic.
