This month I'd like you to meet Traci Winston Williams, founder of H.O.T. Hear Our Tears.
Traci and I go back to 2020, when she participated in the very first class of what would later become our Women Entrepreneur Excellence™ Program. I love sharing Traci's story because it didn't end when the mentoring program ended.
She stayed connected and she kept moving forward.
As H.O.T. Hear Our Tears continued its work providing domestic violence awareness, resources, and community outreach, Traci and I continued talking about another question: How do we help women not only move away from difficult circumstances, but move forward toward greater confidence, independence, and opportunity?
Those conversations eventually grew into something bigger.
In 2023, H.O.T. Hear Our Tears partnered with C2 Your Health Women's Initiative and The Pokagon Fund to launch the Women Move Forward Initiative and DV Community Ambassador Program, bringing together domestic violence awareness, community resources, mentoring, and entrepreneurship.
And Traci is still showing up.
She continues bringing women together through H.O.T.'s monthly community meetings, connecting women to resources, supporting Women Move Forward, and staying connected to the Women Entrepreneur Excellence™ community.
That's one of the things I love most about mentoring.
Sometimes you start out looking for a mentor...and somewhere along the journey, you become one for someone else.
Traci's story is a wonderful example of that.
Thank you, Traci, for staying connected, giving back, and continuing to make room at the table for other women. đź’—
Could your story be the one we're sharing next?
