🍳 September — Your Cabinets Have a Full-Time Job
A kitchen cabinet doesn't get to stand there looking pretty.
It has a job.
Breakfast happens around it.
Homework lands on the counter.
Mail somehow reproduces there overnight.
Doors get grabbed. Drawers get bumped.
Something gets splattered. Somebody wipes it off.
And someone opens the refrigerator again, apparently convinced groceries regenerate every seven minutes.
That's real life in a kitchen.
And it's why changing your cabinets isn't only about how they'll look.
It's also about how they'll live.
Cabinets are working surfaces. A refinished cabinet needs a coating system designed for the kind of everyday use kitchen cabinets actually receive.
That's one reason we use Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane systems when refinishing cabinets.
Of course, sometimes you simply want your kitchen to look different.
That's a perfectly good reason too.
If you've been thinking about changing your cabinets, we'd be happy to take a look and talk through what you're trying to accomplish.
No kitchen makeover television crew required.
Just honest advice.

💡 Pro Tip
Look at the cabinets you touch the most.
The cabinet under the sink, trash pullout, drawers near the stove and doors around frequently used areas often show everyday wear before the rest of the kitchen.
Those high-use areas can give you a better picture of how the existing finish is holding up.
✨ Bonus Tip
A newly refinished cabinet can feel dry before the coating has reached its full cure.
Giving the new finish the proper time and care during that early period helps protect the work you just invested in.
