🚨 Looking for Love Online? Watch for These Romance Scam Red Flags 🚨
Homeland Security Investigations warns that romance scammers build trust online and then use that relationship to steal money or sensitive information.
Warning signs include someone who quickly professes love, gives inconsistent stories, repeatedly avoids clear video calls, or pressures you to move conversations away from a dating platform.
Scammers may also use fake or AI-generated photos to make their profiles more convincing.
One of the biggest red flags comes when your new online relationship turns into a request for money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, financial information, or investment help.
HSI recommends going slowly, asking questions, researching the person’s photos and profile, and never sending money or cryptocurrency to someone you have only communicated with online or by phone.
The Cool Tip:
If an online romance starts moving unusually fast or suddenly involves your money, stop and talk with someone you trust before taking the relationship any further.

- Epic Just “Vibe Coded” Its New Games Launcher
Epic Games has unveiled a faster, redesigned Epic Games Launcher, but the most surprising detail is how the company says it built it.
The Epic Games Store Team says it “vibe coded” the new launcher, a term commonly associated with using AI to help turn natural-language instructions into working code.
The Preview promises faster startups, snappier navigation, lower background system load, and improved tools for organizing games and monitoring downloads.
It is available for testing on Windows, macOS, and, for the first time, Linux.
Epic Games cautions that the launcher is still a Preview, so users may encounter issues while testing it.
The Cool Tip:
Epic Games’ experiment shows just how far vibe coding has come, with AI-assisted development now being used to help create software that millions of consumers could eventually use.
