Palm Sunday Devotional Flashback
Read the Bible: Zachariah 9:9 and Luke 19:28-40.
"Crowds of people spread their coats on the ground in front of Him. Some waved branches of palm trees as a sign of victory. The people shouted: Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord." John 12:12
What's going on? Our Lord and Savior is riding into our hearts. Jesus didn't just ride into Jerusalem around the year 30 A.D., He rode into our hearts which has sustained us through the years. Because He rode into our hearts, we have Trust, in Our Lord, Hope, in Our Lord, Faith, in Our Lord, and Love, in Our Lord.
"But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete." Luke 7:49
As followers of Jesus Christ, we have a foundation that is unshakeable. We know that no matter what the world throws at us, it will only strengthen our Trust, Hope, Faith, and Love in Our Lord.
Instead of despair, our Hope in the Lord gave us comfort to know Sunday, as we celebrate Palm Sunday, it will be better. Jesus Christ didn't just ride into Jerusalem on that Palm Sunday. HALLELUJAH! He rode into our hearts, so we are prepared to face anything.
