Rev. James, Sr. sermon is entitled A Call To Actionbased on Joshua 24.

Dear Beloved Congregation,

On Sunday, Linda and I will celebrate a remarkable milestone…..our 40th wedding anniversary. August 17th marks not just a date, but a testament to the love, commitment, and faithfulness we've shared through the years. Yes friends, I married way out of my league! I am blessed to be married to my best friend! I am blown away by the woman she has become (and is becoming).

Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised (Proverbs 31:30).

In a world that often changes, our marriage has been a constant source of joy and

strength. We've weathered storms, the death of our beloved son, Kevin, Jr., and celebrated victories, always anchored in our faith and love for one another. I am deeply grateful for the gift of my wife, who has been my partner, confidante, and greatest support.

As we reflect on these 40 years, let us remember that love is not just a feeling, but a choice we make every day. It is a commitment to serve, to forgive, and to cherish one

another.

May our journey inspire you all to nurture your relationships with the same dedication

and joy.

Thank you for joining us in this celebration. May God bless our marriage and guide us

in love for many more years to come.

By the way, our Couples Ministry is planning activities for this new church season and

we look forward to seeing you there. Further information will be shared soon.

With love and gratitude,

Dr. James
