Residing Hope

Formerly Florida United Methodist Children’s Home

“But now, this is what the LORD says – ‘Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you… When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned... For I am the LORD your God...’” Isaiah 43:1-3

In the hot, humid days of summer, sometimes that heat and humidity sinks into our souls. We think things are as worse than they can be and we don’t know if we will survive. This is how many of our children and youth experience life. Often, the heat and humidity of abuse, abandonment, neglect, and worse sink down deep into their souls to convince them that they are worthless and even worse, hopeless.

Even in a place of blessing and respite like Residing Hope, sometimes the heat and humidity of the past and their lingering effects cause some to miss hope for the future and long for the familiarity of the past. You really have no idea the impact your partnership with Residing Hope has on our residents and staff. We witness the transformation of precious lives from hopeless to hope-filled as a meaningful result of your partnership with us!

So, on the 5th Sunday of June, we humbly request any support that you may offer to be used to uplift those who need our support. Thank you!

Church Grief Group Sessions

Loss is an inevitable part of life, yet its impact often feels anything but natural. The void it creates, the longing it stirs, and the questions it raises can leave individuals feeling overwhelmed and uncertain. During such times, finding a supportive environment where one can process emotions and confront the complexities of grief becomes essential.

The start-up of Church Grief Workshops begins on Wednesday, July 16th, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Waters in the Beachside Meeting Room at the church.

Please call the church office to register for attendance, 386-445-1600
