Thank you ambassadors Lori Stahlman, Kayla Viramontes, The Bold Orange, Sean Kerr, Kerr Properties, Inc., and Becky Bennett for helping make sure the ribbon cutting was safe and welcoming. Dr. McCartney Goff, owner of Inspire Life Chiropractic, asked the Chamber to be part of the new clinic celebration. We were happy to travel to Clackamas to celebrate with her.  Metro East Web Academy, sponsor our ribbon cuttings, will be celebrating another ribbon cutting in a few weeks.

Make your plans now to invest in yourself. The Leadership Academy applications will open May 1st. Pictured above is Blake Peterson, Chair of the Gresham-Barlow School District Board. He is one of the great speakers the Leadership Academy features every year. As a graduate of Barlow and parent of 7, he is determined to make good education decisions. The Leadership Academy heard that clarity during the class.
BIKE FRIENDLY
Gresham is Bike Friendly
Gresham is a bike friendly city. One of our new members, Kayla Brown, owner of Sugar Cubed, is pictured here celebrating in 2018 the original art and functional bike racks (Bike Farm).

Don’t forget, you will receive $50.00 in Chamber Bucks if you refer a new member in April and May.
CHAMBER BUCKS
Another way to Help Each Other.
Without asking, you know of at least one local business that needs help. You will benefit from getting them much needed help.

Here’s how:   Receive $50.00 Chamber Bucks for April and May new member referrals. Reach out to a business, have them join the chamber and you will receive $50.00 in Chamber Bucks. For any referral you bring in who joins as a new member in April and May you will receive $50.00 in Chamber Bucks (double the normal amount).

Now is the time to help a friend. Now is the time to introduce a favorite business to the many remarkable things the Gresham Area Chamber does for it’s members.
This program will not be extended. It starts April 1st and ends midnight May 31st.
It is a “two-fer”. You will benefit with $50.00 Chamber Bucks and the new member will be part of a successful organization. If you have any questions, contact Angela or Liz.

Makapu'u Tide Pools is great for more advanced hikers. Once you reach the bottom, there are natural pools perfect for swimming and a blow hole. Finally visit Lankikai Pillboxes for a short but more advanced hike up to old bunkers that overlook the breathtaking Lanikai beach.  C.P. A Fisher’s Guide to
Summer in Oregon

What’s in season and where to go around the state.

With an abundance of steelhead, salmon and trout fisheries, as well as productive warm-water venues, Oregon may offer up America’s most diverse sport fishery — with equally diverse scenery to match. But Oregon’s also a pretty big state, so where’s a fisher to go to cast a line in summertime?
