Another way to Help Each Other.
Without asking, you know of at least one local business that needs help. You will benefit from getting them much needed help.

Here’s how:   Receive $50.00 Chamber Bucks for April and May new member referrals. Reach out to a business, have them join the chamber and you will receive $50.00 in Chamber Bucks. For any referral you bring in who joins as a new member in April and May you will receive $50.00 in Chamber Bucks (double the normal amount).

Now is the time to help a friend. Now is the time to introduce a favorite business to the many remarkable things the Gresham Area Chamber does for it’s members.
This program will not be extended. It starts April 1st and ends midnight May 31st.
It is a “two-fer”. You will benefit with $50.00 Chamber Bucks and the new member will be part of a successful organization. If you have any questions, contact Angela or Liz.
Celebrating Women In Our Community
From pastries to paper, women consistently contribute. Sharon Nesbit, The Outlook/Pamplin Media Group and Shelly Dominguez, Tany's Bakery LLC both provide "delicious" (Shelly) and "delightful" (Sharon) opportunities for us to enjoy.
The corporate world is being populated with women at the helm. Maria Pope, Portland General Electric, is a local example of visible women in leadership at the corporate level.
Downtown Gresham is not just about shopping and eating. It is also about art and culture. Judy Han, Sunny Han's Wok and Grill and Leslie Radke, both of Gresham Outdoor Public Art (GOPA) and Sue O'Halloran, with Kohler Meyers O'Halloran Inc. and Center for the Arts Foundation are leaders making a visible and audible difference in the community.

Tips, Tools, & Press Releases
How often should I have my vehicle aligned?
It is recommended to have your alignment checked on a yearly basis as preventative maintenance. If you hit any potholes or curbs it would be smart to have it checked. It is a good idea to have it checked after you have your tires replaced especially if you had any odd tire wear. Proper alignment can help you get longevity and even wear from your tires, and better safety and control of your vehicle.
If you suspect mold in your home or business-
  • Contact a professional and have them assess the area and write up a detailed plan.
  • If possible, stay out of the affected areas.
  • Turn off the HVAC system and fans.
  • Don't spray bleach or other disinfectants on the mold.
Epcot's American Adventure Pavilion is home to an American flag taken from the rubble of the Twin Towers from the 9/11 attack.
Got Heartburn? Try drinking 1 tsp. of raw apple cider vinegar in a glass of water before large meals. It sounds counterintuitive, but it really works for most people.

STAFF CHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT
Change is often “a door closes, a door opens” event.

We have such an event to announce.

As of April 1st, Asha Aiello will no longer be the Director of the WorkReady Career Linked Learning program at the Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce. She has been offered a remarkable opportunity to work with Associated General Contractors and she accepted the offer. She was not looking to change jobs, they found her.

The WorkReady program started in late 2019, under Asha’s great leadership. While COVID slowed down the original implementation of the program, Asha was able to pivot and continue to develop the program that serves k-12 students. She will be hard to replace but the program is well underway in structure and success.

The timeline for Asha’s departure was mutually agreed upon allowing for training time at a later date when a new Director is hired.

We will miss Asha and her dedication to business and education. We wish her well in the new opportunity she has been presented.

Sincerely,
Lynn Snodgrass
CEO, Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce

Oregon’s Sustainable Breweries

Earth Day never ends at Oregon’s many eco-conscious craft-beer makers.

Oregon is world-famous for craft beer. It’s also frequently ranked among the greenest states in the Union. So it’s no surprise that we’re at the forefront of what’s become known as the sustainable-brewing movement.
