The calm before the storm! The first session of Summer Camp at Camp T. Brady Saunders kicks off on June 15th. In preparation, our Camp Reservation Staff, Order of the Arrow Nawakwa Lodge, and generous volunteers have dedicated a tremendous amount of time and energy clearing trails, setting up tents, maintaining and updating facilities, and completing an endless number of tasks behind the scenes. On the Lake Dillon waterfront alone, Scouts will enjoy newly constructed fishing docks and pavilions, and freshly maintained water features like our Wet Willy slide and iceberg. Offshore, our newest campers will enjoy our brand-new Trailblazers Program Area and Spencer Adams Pavilion. We can't wait for you to experience our new and improved camping facilities!

Flags for Heroes

A Tribute to Local Heroes

This July 4th, the Heart of Virginia Council aims to display over 500 American flags across Central Virginia in honor of local heroes—veterans, first responders, teachers, and more. Each flag represents someone who makes or has made an extraordinary contribution to our community, with personalized recognition. Choose from locations in Chesterfield, Tappahannock and Richmond to place your hero's flag, and take home their commemorative dog tag. Proceeds support Scouting programs for over 7,400 youth right here in Central Virginia.
