Greetings!
What if every time we encountered a fallen yellow leaf we paused to count our blessings?
It wouldn’t have to be the exhaustive list of gratitudes for this wondrous life. We could simply acknowledge one gift of the moment in that encounter. And let’s not forget to be grateful for the leaf herself, the tree from which she has loosed herself, the way in which her decay will feed the soil on which she lies, the way in which the soil of our soul is nourished, too…
As we move deeper into harvest season, Gratitude Month, the coziness of mature Autumn, let us remember to give thanks!
